…and why

A deep and abiding interest in both gender and communications has led Anindita to this juncture. She finds G@W's work meaningful and hopes to tell more people about it.

Where else she has worked 

Anindita has worked in journalism, new media and non-profit communications in a variety of capacities. In 2013, she was a New Media Fellow with the International Reporting Project at John Hopkins University for which she wrote on maternal and reproductive health. Currently, she runs her own consulting firm which specializes in communications for non-profits.  

Other work in gender and institutional change

She is founder-editor of Ultra Violet, a website for contemporary feminism in India. As a journalist, she has written extensively on gender issues and her articles have appeared in The Guardian, The Hindu and Bangalore Mirror.
