Gen-novation Award: Freedom Traveller (Pakistan)

Women in many places in the world struggle to feel free enough to travel. Women's mobility is increasingly becoming an issue of concern and Momal Mushtaq's Freedom Traveler project takes this head-on. It invites women to share their photographs and stories of travel. The idea is that when women read about other women who were courageous enough to travel alone on a local, national or international level, they may be inspired and encouraged to follow suit.

Within the first three months, Freedom Traveler received 150+ photos from 40 countries.

This photograph was submitted by a woman called Shristi from Nepal.
