UN Country Team Strengthening

Working in close collaboration with UNICEF and UNIFEM, Gender at Work is partnering with three UN Country teams – Albania, Morocco and Nepal – using an action-learning process to strengthen work on gender equality. The aim is to highlight how the process of collaboration between UN system partners works in the promotion of gender equality, and how it can be strengthened. These innovations are meant to help the UN better deliver on gender equality on the ground, as well as to identify how HQ support mechanisms need to be strengthened to help the country teams implement cohesive and effective women’s empowerment and gender equality. This is a pilot program (two years) meant to generate lessons for the UN system as a whole.
