Power Up! consortium publishes the Feminist Economic Justice Toolkit

The existing economic system is not working! It’s unequal, unjust, and extractive. The popular education resource from the Power Up! consortium provides practical guides for discussions and activities aimed at understanding and challenging economic injustices, developing and sharing feminist alternatives and visions.

The Power Up! consortium — an alliance of three women’s rights organisations: JASS (Just Associates), Yayasan Pemberdayaan Perempuan Kepala Keluarga (PEKKA), and Gender at Work (G@W) — is thrilled to publish our new Feminist Economic Justice Toolkit!

This toolkit is a feminist popular education resource created to support women human rights defenders, and activists, engaged in feminist movement building. It offers practical guides, discussion prompts and activities aimed at understanding and challenging economic injustices, while developing and sharing feminist alternatives and visions.

This new resource will offer tools for:

  • building critical awareness of economic justice from a feminist perspective;
  • supporting movement building for feminist economic justice;
  • facilitating the sharing of knowledge about feminist economic justice and feminist economic alternatives;
  • mapping power relationships relevant to feminist economic justice and to identify possible connection points for movement building.

We invite you to use this resource in your work, share it widely, and help us reach even more women human rights defenders, community organizers, and movement allies across the globe.

Together, we can reimagine economies grounded in justice, care, and equality.
